As already known, that the function of the condenser in the gas compression refrigeration system is to change the form of the refrigerant gas pressure and high temperature of the liquid refrigerant into a compressor discharge temperature and pressure are still high. At the time of moving gas from the discharge side of the compressor into the condenser, it contains a heat load which includes the heat absorbed by evaporation of liquid refrigerant to the evaporator, heat is absorbed to reduce the temperature of the liquid refrigerant to the condensing temperature of evaporating temperature, heat is sucked by the cylinder chamber and heat are used to compress the gas from the evaporator. The condenser should be able to throw the heat to the cooling medium which is used by the condenser.

To dispose of the heat contained within the refrigerant are required condenser coil cooling medium. According to the type of cooling medium is used then the condenser can be divided into three, namely:

  1. Air Cooled Condenser, using air as the cooling medium
  2. Water Cooled Condenser, using water as a cooling medium
  3. Evaporative condensor, using a combination of air and water

As already known, the condenser is placed outside the room. So the condenser coil surface course susceptible to dirt either by dust, water vapor, and other impurities.

In order for the heat discharge can take place with the continuous effective heat transfer surfaces in the condenser should always be in a clean condition, free of dirt and dust. For the condenser should be cleaned regularly. Because if the dirt on the surface of the condenser coil the thicker it will be able to cause problems to the cycle of refrigerant in the air conditioner unit.

Block condenser disruption can occur when air conditioner units do not receive adequate treatment. To prevent blocked condenser, each unit of the air conditioner should be cleaned or washed regularly.

For AC-Window cleaning procedures can be started with a AC Window unit decrease from the installation, the whole set of control following release electrical components of the unit are not watertight. Then wash solution made by dissolving ΒΌ kg of caustic soda into 10 liters of clean water . Flush the surface of condenser coil up evenly with the solution and let stand for about 30 minutes . The next step is spraying water , using equipment pumps , condenser coil surface to evenly until all dirt and rust apart from the condenser coil surface . Dry the entire surface of the unit from the remnants of the water by spraying pressurized air from the air compressor . And reassemble all components and control circuits . The next step to do the testing , flow measurements taken include compressors , cold temperatures coming out of the evaporator outlet grill , under normal conditions the cold temperatures coming out of the evaporator to be around 10 or 11 degrees Celsius . However, when the temperature is above 15 degrees Celsius then do check the pressure on the suction side or discharge side of the tube using the kit . Under normal conditions the suction pressure was around 50 psi to 65 psi and about 180 psi discharge pressure up to 260 psi.
